Extract and export

Extract and export PDF tools

Export embedded files, images, form data, bookmarks, links, and comments from PDFs.

Rather than reading or editing a PDF, these tools pull specific pieces back out of it — embedded file attachments, the standalone images used on a page, submitted form field values, the bookmark outline, or the interactive links — usually as a CSV, JSON, or ZIP you can use somewhere else. Useful when you need the data inside a PDF for another system, not the PDF itself.

Extract and export PDF tools — questions

How do you get the data out of a filled-in PDF form?

The form-data export tool reads the submitted field values and downloads them as a CSV or JSON file, so you can move the responses into a spreadsheet or another system without retyping them.

Can you extract the images from a PDF?

Yes. The image extractor recovers the bitmap images embedded in the pages and saves them as separate files. This pulls out the original embedded images, which is different from converting whole pages to pictures.

How do you audit every link in a PDF?

The link extractor lists every clickable link in the document with its destination URL and the page it sits on. A separate tool disables the links while keeping the visible page text and layout intact.
