About EditPDF AI

Clear access for every PDF tool.
Core workflows and AI limits are labelled separately.

EditPDF AI has 51 active tools. 41 include browser-based core workflows that can be used without an account. Signed-in free accounts can use up to 5 metered AI actions per UTC day; Pro removes that daily cap. Tool-specific input and processing limits still apply.

Our mission

Making PDFs disappear as a problem

Every document tells a story someone needs to move forward — a contract, an application, a signature that unlocks the next step. Too often, the tools meant to help get in the way instead: locked behind price tags, buried in menus, built for someone else’s workflow.

We’re rethinking that from the ground up. At EditPDF AI, we imagine a future where handling a document takes seconds, not software — where the technology fades into the background and people just get on with their day.

We’re not trying to build another PDF editor. We’re trying to make PDFs disappear as a problem altogether.

Product purpose

Why EditPDF AI exists

EditPDF AI brings common PDF editing, page management, signing, conversion, and AI-assisted workflows into one web product. It is intended to let people complete supported document tasks without installing a desktop application.

The product separates browser-based workflows from features that need server-side or AI processing so users can make an informed choice before running a tool.

Optional AI-assisted form filling, summarization, OCR, translation, mind maps, quizzes, chat, and document conversions require an account and server-side processing.

Signed-in free accounts receive a daily AI-action allowance. Pro removes that daily allowance cap; the same tool-specific document and processing limits still apply.

What we believe

Our principles

🔓

Free by default

EditPDF AI has 51 active tools. 41 include browser-based core workflows that can be used without an account. Signed-in free accounts can use up to 5 metered AI actions per UTC day; Pro removes that daily cap. Tool-specific input and processing limits still apply.

🔒

Privacy first

Core browser tools process selected files on your device. AI features may send extracted text, rendered page images, uploaded images, or a PDF to EditPDF AI server routes and configured processing providers when the feature requires it. The application does not write document content to its database or object storage.

AI that actually helps

AI features can suggest form values, summarize extracted text, translate documents, perform OCR, and generate learning materials. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. Review results against the source document before relying on them, especially for legal, medical, financial, or other high-stakes use.

🌍

Built for everyone

EditPDF AI is designed for modern desktop and mobile browsers. Available features and performance depend on browser support, document complexity, and device resources.

Data & privacy

How we handle your files

Processing depends on the selected feature. The categories below describe the paths implemented by the current application.

Browser-based PDF tools

Core editing and page tools identified as browser-based process the selected document on your device and do not send its contents through an EditPDF AI document-processing route. Some tools load required code, workers, or fonts from third-party content delivery networks.

Conversion tools

Conversion processing depends on the tool. Browser-based conversions rebuild the output on your device. AI-assisted PDF-to-Word, PDF-to-Excel, and PDF-to-PowerPoint actions send extracted text through an EditPDF AI server route to the configured AI provider.

OCR

PDF OCR opens and renders the source PDF in your browser. When a page needs OCR, the rendered page image is sent through an EditPDF AI server route to the configured AI provider; the application does not deliberately store the source PDF or OCR image in its database or object storage.

AI tools

AI tools send only the content required for the selected action, which can include extracted text, rendered page images, uploaded images, or a PDF, through EditPDF AI server routes to configured processing providers. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. Review results against the source document before relying on them, especially for legal, medical, financial, or other high-stakes use.

Account data

A third-party identity provider manages account sign-in. A managed database stores subscription records and dated AI usage counts used to enforce the free daily allowance. Document content is never stored in those tables. The named providers are listed in the Privacy Policy.

Configured analytics

Analytics are privacy-respecting: web-performance telemetry, plus cookieless page views and deliberately named product events. Person profiles and session recording are disabled and advertising storage is denied. Query strings, file names, and email addresses are not deliberately sent. Providers are named in the Privacy Policy.
