What is PDF/A?

PDF/A is a PDF profile intended for long-term preservation, with extra rules for fonts, color, and embedded data. A normal PDF is not PDF/A just because it opens or looks the same. EditPDF AI does not produce or validate PDF/A. Ordinary conversion, grayscale, and flattening do not establish archival conformance.

What EditPDF AI does

EditPDF AI tools save ordinary PDFs for reading and editing. When a recipient requires a PDF/A profile, export and validate that file with software that states PDF/A support.
