Extract Specific Pages from a Scanned PDF Book
A scanned book PDF is often hundreds of pages, but you rarely need the whole thing at once — a specific chapter, a few referenced pages, or a handful of pages scattered across the book. Extract Pages is built for exactly this: unlike splitting a PDF into sequential ranges, extraction lets you cherry-pick any combination — page 12, page 47, and pages 90–94 — into a single new file, regardless of where they fall in the original.
The pages are copied locally in your browser into a new file without touching the original scan, so you can pull out what you need for a citation, a reading excerpt, or a reference attachment without carrying the entire book along with it.
One thing to check before you rely on the extracted pages: a scan is just page images unless it's already been through OCR, so the extracted pages won't have selectable or searchable text on their own. If you need to copy quotes or search within the extracted pages afterward, run PDF OCR on them first.
How to handle this workflow
Launch the Extract Pages and load your document. No account creation or software installation is required.
Select your preferred settings. Core processing runs on your device, keeping your documents confidential and private.
Inspect the output to confirm page quality and formatting, then save your updated PDF directly to your device.
Can I extract non-consecutive pages from a PDF?
Yes — unlike splitting into sequential ranges, Extract Pages lets you cherry-pick any combination of pages, regardless of where they fall in the original document.
