Why Are Some Images Missing After Extraction?

Not everything that looks like a picture on a PDF page is stored as an extractable image file — some visuals are built a different way.
Common reasons
- ·Vector graphics — charts, diagrams, and logos drawn with PDF drawing commands rather than an embedded image file cannot be extracted as a picture
- ·A background image applied at the page or template level, rather than placed as a normal embedded object
- ·An image built from many small tiled pieces rather than one single embedded file
What to do instead
For visuals that are not extractable as separate image files, convert that specific page to an image using PDF to Images instead — this captures everything visible on the page, vector graphics included, as a single flattened picture.
